Day 2 Foot Injury...

AM:  Met @ Scott's house. Mike, Toni and Matt.  Was not sure how this morning would go but wanted to give it a try.  At the 3 mile mark I could tell I was going to do some damage again to my heel if I went 10 so I decided to bag it and head back to my car.  Ran 2 more and walked 1 to get back.  Not a lot of sting to it which good because this injury is like the feeling of a 2nd degree burn.  I burned my hand like this when I was a kid and burns suck.  I am not going to to downplay this and think I can just run through this thing.  Might be a week of crosstraining and biking.  Oh joy!  oh and the temp was fantastic and its staying darker now which sucks...

Bummer on the foot. I hope it clears up sooner rather than later. We need to get you in some Ride 7s, that'll do the trick :-)

Good race on Saturday. I like your perspective - you're getting there. Takes some patience to put the whole 13.1 together. You're close, though. Like you said, just keep building up slowly, and believe in the process.

Oh, and if you haven't done it yet... epsom salt bath for the feet. Do it a couple times per day. I don't know how it works, but it does.
