AM:  Easy miles around Lehi/Highland with Mike, Scott and Toni.  So nice to run with such awesome studs.  Some parts of the run felt a little tougher than easy but overall a very smooth group run.  Gotta a lot of good advice from them on the run for the marathon.  Scott gave me a really good reality check with what he thought was realistic or not for me.  He said my goal should be sub 3 and go from there.  I loved the advice on the first half should feel like "hey, I have only run 13 miles and there is no way I should be intimidated by 13 more".  This sticks out to me as go out conservative and then build from there.  So I am going to do this exact advice.  I don't want loneliness and disappointment come to me by mile 18, 20 or 22.  I just need to run within.  Excited to taper now and enjoy fresh legs come next week.  My legs are tired and its obvious the training and mileage has come full effect.  I wish my weight was lower, but I feel lighter and that is all that matters right now.  Onward and Upward from here. PHX... Make It Happen...

Thanks Angie. Very nice advice and I agree with you. The journey has been kept fun, exciting and very surreal thus far. I will just go out comfortable and hopefully let the field carry me to the finish. This is exactly what we train for. What is your next race?

I don't really have any races on my plate rt now. I've kind of been in a running slump rt now. I'm battling some anemia issues so I prob won't race til summer/fall really seriously til I get that up and feeling good again. You will do great. Excited to hear all about it.

Oh man. Had no idea Angie you were battling this right now. Hopefully the energy levels get back up to par. I really appreciate the encouragement given. Feels like I'm running anew. This distance is humbling. Hope to see ya soon. :)

Scott is a very wise man. I definitely agree with what he is saying. Honestly in the marathon the first half should feel stupid easy, and then build from there. It is an awesome course and there are no hills after mi 10. Get to mile 10 feeling awesome and than break the rest of the race into sections. Relax, run with confidence, have fun, and most importantly please throw your hands in the air for the cameras. :-)

Love the comments Rachelle. I like the advice. The course seems very ideal. I like the idea geared to the gameplan. Looking forward to feeling "stupid easy" by mile 10 ;)
