AM:  Got some great sleep the past few days.  I have done like 5 miles of walking and still stiff.  Weird, but hope to be doing some light jogging soon.

PM:  Decided to go for a little shuffle jog.  Still felt really beat up.   I have not felt this beat up in a long time.  I started out walking a half mile and then jogged 2 miles @ 13 minute pace.  Felt better towards the last 1/2 mile.  I am enjoying the recovery time.  Hope to do 4-5 miles tomorrow.  We shall see...

Takes a little time to get the stiffness out. Moving is good. We walked around the zoo for several hours on Sunday - I was tired afterwards, but it was nice to get the blood flowing without banging the joints and muscles much.

I've bounced back quickly from marathons in the past, but trust me - these next 10 days is when you are the most vulnerable. Take your time if you need to. A little extra downtime now is better than some random injury popping up in 3 weeks.

@jake yeah I agree with ya. I just plan to listen to my body this week and go off how I feel. Next 10 days are no stress and just a bounce back to reality. No injuries for me. I have had enough the last 4 months and too many of our other running buddies have injuries right now that sucks...

yep, unfortunately its a lot easier to be smart, reasonable, and conservative when you see so many ppl on the sidelines - even though they are doing things right. So a little extra caution goes a long way.

I read you loud and clear @jake. Thanks for the help and advice. Fun getting back into the second wind...
